Luanda - The Angolan health authorities announced, on Friday, the registration of 136 new infections, 119 recovered patients and three deaths, in the last 24 hours.
According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who spoke at the usual Covid-19 data update session in the country, 44 new cases were diagnosed in Cuanza Norte, 39 in Luanda, 25 in Zaire, 19 in Cabinda, three in Lunda Sul, two in Benguela and one each for Huíla, Bengo, Malanje and Lunda Norte.
The list of new patients, whose ages range from two to 73 years old, is comprised of 83 males and 53 females.
Of those recovered, he pointed out, 61 are patients from Cuando Cubango, 22 from Huíla, 19 from Luanda, eight from Cunene, six from Moxico and three from Huambo, aged between one and 73 years.
Regarding deaths, Franco Mufinda informed that there are three Angolan citizens, two from Luanda and one from Zaire, two of whom are female and one male, aged between 73 and 78 years.
Angola has a record of 16,061 cases, with 365 deaths, 8,798 recovered and 6,898 active.
Of the assets, seven are in critical condition with invasive mechanical ventilation, 78 moderate, 139 with mild symptoms and 6,667 asymptomatic.
Health authorities follow 232 patients admitted to treatment centers in the country
